Facebook Ad Campaign Touts Benefits of Personalized Ads Ahead of App Tracking Transparency (ATT) [Video]

Facebook has launched a new ad campaign touting the benefits of personalized ads ahead of Apple’s upcoming App Tracking Transparency (ATT) feature.

The ATT feature requires developers to ask each user for permission to track activity across apps and websites. Facebook argues that Apple’s changes will make it harder for the company to monetize ads. It will also make it much more expensive for small businesses to generate new customers via advertising, potentially leading to publishers relying on subscription models instead. In December, Facebook took out two full page ads criticizing the change.

Facebook has now launched another campaign called “Good Ideas Deserve To Be Found” which promotes personalized ads as a way to find relevant small businesses.

Small businesses rely on personalized ads to reach the people who will love their products and help their business grow. Small and medium-sized businesses who reported using targeted advertising on Facebook’s family of apps were twice as likely to target new customers and to sell new products.
