Pablo Escobar’s 1974 Porsche 911 RSR Coupe

Every car has a history, but this 1974 Porsche 911 RSR has one that would be hard to match whatever the standard. Built by Porsche as a factory-prepped race car, this 911 RSR was driven by two-time Formula One and Indy 500 champion Emerson Fittipaldi in the inaugural International Race of Champions. IROC was intended to be the all-star event of motorsports, with top-level drivers from nearly every discipline driving identical cars, putting skill at the forefront. Fittipaldi drove this one-of-12 RSR in the race, before taking an off that ended his chances of a win. The car was eventually made its way into Pablo Escobar’s collection, where the kingpin drove it in various races in Columbia. When Escobar’s run ended in 1993, it was bought by Roger Penske and restored — one of the founders of IROC. Mechanically perfect and ready to race, this is a car with a story like no other.
