Apple Rumored to Introduce Apple Music Hi-Fi Tier in the Coming Weeks Alongside New AirPods 3

A new rumor claims Apple will introduce a high-fidelity audio streaming tier for Apple Music in the coming weeks, alongside the release of new AirPods 3 wireless earbuds. According to HITS DailyDouble, hi-fi support will not require a more expensive subscription.

The announcement is expected to coincide with the launch of the third-generation AirPods. Whether these will be compatible with the new, improved audio offering is unknown. Speculation within the industry suggests Apple’s move is to provide a more aggressively priced, higher-quality option after Spotify announced this week it was raising prices.

Amazon Music HD has been available since 2019 at $14.99/month. Spotify Hi-Fi is expected to cost around the same.

AirPods 3 have been rumored for quite some time. Analysts now believe they will launch in the third quarter of 2021. Check out the alleged design here.

Currently, AirPods Pro are on sale for $197, a discount of $52 off list. AirPods 2 are also on sale at $149.99 ($49.01 off) with wireless charging case and $128.98 ($30.02 off) with wired charging case.
