At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Honda is showing off a number of forward-thinking vehicles, among them the EV Outlier Concept. Meant to serve as a vision for motorcycles beyond 2030, it leverages the unique qualities of electric propulsion to redefine the traditional bike silhouette. Its low-slung, elongated body has a center black section which holds the battery, smoke-clear panels on the sides and front, and a low seat with a bucket-type backrest to help hold the rider in place during acceleration. Power comes from in-wheel motors at the front and back, while the slim and wide instrument panel screen has camera-based “mirrors” that appear on either side and works with a lower screen, placed where the gas tank would normally be, that shows mode settings, front motor torque adjustment, and information such as front and rear wheel movement.
