What Panels Can You Stream Live?

In just a few weeks, D23 Expo will host its bi-annual Disney content showcase for fans at the Anaheim Convention Center. And while it’s long been sold out, the event will be taking a lot of its panels, presentations, exhibit tours, and conversations with special guests online so fans at home can watch.

That said, before you get your hopes up too high, that will not include any of the Disney Animation, Pixar, Disney Studios live-action, or Marvel panels. (Lucasfilm is pretty quiet presence at this event as it recently held its own Star Wars Celebration 2022 a few months ago.) For those events, you can check io9 for updates since we’ll have writers there in person.

But if you still want to check out D23 from afar, the offerings aren’t too shabby even without the most high-profile panels included. Disney fans will get eight hours a day of live stream fun courtesy of D23 Expo [LIVE] (which includes D23Expo.com/live, D23.com, and D23 social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch); there, you’ll find the Disney Legends Award Ceremony as well as panels from Disney Branded Television, Disney Games, and Marvel Games, and well as Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. Hosting will be Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Her Universe), Mark Daniel (Disney Parks Live Entertainment), Bret Iwan (the official voice of Mickey Mouse), TikTok luminary Juju Green, Ryan March (Disney Vacation Club), and Alyssa Navarro (Walt Disney Studios).

Friday, September 9

10:30 a.m. – Disney Legends Awards Ceremony

• Disney100 kicks off at D23 Expo with an epic presentation that includes the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, featuring Disney CEO Bob Chapek. The event will once again honor those visionaries and artists who have made significant contributions to the Disney legacy. 2:30 p.m. – Disney For Scores Podcast Live Celebrates Marvel Music

• Celebrate the powerful music of Marvel storytelling when Variety’s Jon Burlingame hosts Disney For Scores Podcast Live.
