What We Know So Far

Overview

While the 575-hp Range Rover Sport SVR is on sabbatical, a new level of crazy is bleeding with ink in the planners of Land Rover engineers. Confirmed in a teaser video, the Range Rover Sport SV promises to do what Jaguar’s Special Vehicle team did with the XE SV Project 8, by cranking up the horsepower and giving the ordinary an extraordinary set of track tools. In the Range Rover SV’s case, we don’t expect this to be a limited run and it will obviously retain a meaningful level of off-road capability. We’ll update this space when Land Rover lets the cat out of the bag later this year.

What’s New for 2024?

Details surrounding the new high-performance Range Rover Sport SV are still guarded but given the high-speed panning and sand dune jumping in the teaser video, the real thing should be worth the wait.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The Range Rover Sport SV is shaping up to be the angriest of them all, but we can’t suggest for certain which equipment to add or avoid until more details become available. We will say, the SV is a good choice should the more civilized Range Rover Sport rock you to sleep.

As more information becomes available, we’ll update this story with more details about:

  • Engine, Transmission, and Performance
  • Towing and Payload Capacity
  • Range, Charging, and Battery Life
  • Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
  • Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
  • Infotainment and Connectivity
