Alongside the Corvette, the CTS-V Blackwing serves as GM’s other apex predator. For 2025, the CTS-V arrives with a 668 horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and the option of a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic — a choice BMW and Mercedes’ lesser sports sedans left behind long ago. The CTS-V gets the CT5’s refresh, differentiated by more diagonal lines and faux air intakes below the stacked headlamps. The rear spoiler comes in black and three new colors have been added: Drift, Deep Space, and Typhoon. The launch and traction control systems are among the industry’s best, helping make the automatic version just a tenth of a second faster from 0-60: 3.5 versus 3.6 seconds respectively. Inside is a new 33-inch display replacing the previous 10-inch unit and optional carbon-backed sports seats. Production of the best deal in sports sedans begins in the summer of 2024.
