The Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge is an event officially sponsored by Porsche Cars North America, with the cars being judged at the annual Rennsport Reunion. Porsche Beaverton of Beaverton, Oregon entered this 1986 911 Safari in the 2023 Challenge and is now auctioning it off on Bring a Trailer. Starting with a 124,000-mile 1986 911, Porsche Beaverton stripped the car down and refinished it in black, adding a whale tail spoiler, custom front bumper, and wood slat roof rack. The interior is trimmed in black and white houndstooth with a red tach and Porsche Classic Communication Management head unit. The 3.2-liter flat-six was rebuilt along with the 915 five-speed manual. The car currently has three days left on the auction.
