But if our resources suddenly ran out and life as we know it becomes a blip in history, we’d be forced to return to the life of our ancestors, living off the land, foraging for food, and building homes with our bare hands. In preparation, Vollebak has developed a wardrobe to help survive a self-sufficient future. The Off Grid Vest is built with the same abrasion-resistant material used in body armor, giving it the strength to withstand days out hunting and gathering. It features a hydrophilic membrane and compressed insulation to keep you dry and warm while you work. The back is fitted with a heavy-duty Dyneema belt with loops to hold tools and equipment, while detachable pockets clip on to store the daily harvest. It’s finished with a large chest pocket, two side pockets, and a two-way front zipper with a storm flap.
