Vertical Aerospace has announced its partnership with Leonardo. The Italian helicopter manufacturer will develop a carbon composite fuselage for the VX4 eVTOL Aircraft. The first agreement will build 6 models of the air taxi but could extend to include over 2,000 examples of the aircraft. Aimed at urban transportation, the four-passenger piloted plane boasts a top speed of over 200 mph, while providing an all-electric, emissions-free ride. The company already has pre-orders from company’s like American Airlines and Avolon and plans to begin test flights at the end of this year.
