Red Savannah has put together a travel experience that takes you on a real-life tour of Gladiator locations ahead of the release of the epic film’s sequel. The trip consists of a five-night journey through Italy with stops at the country’s most famous Roman sites. The trip starts in Rome where guests will step into the Colosseum, going on to a behind-the-scenes tour of the Parthenon, Castel Sant’Angelo, and the Stadium of Domitian, an arena built in 80 AD by Emperor Titus Flavius Domitianus. Next is a train ride — or an optional helicopter flight — to Naples. Once there, a helicopter tour of Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii follows, along with a tour of the Archeological Museum in Naples, all guided by an archaeological expert. The trip finishes at the Amalfi Coast, vacation spot of the Roman elite, and a private boat trip to Capri, island retreat of Emperor Tiberius. Bookings for the trip are open now.
