Most portable speakers are plastic affairs, some subtle, some in-your-face. Porsche Design’s PDS50 breaks the mold with a bold layered body crafted from a single block of aluminum. Inside the enclosure sit A 3″ driver and 1″ tweeter, with low-end helped along by a recessed bass-reflex port. The open bottom layer houses a Qi-compatible wireless charger; a USB-C and standard USB port are also available as charging options. IPX4 water resistance makes it suitable for outdoor use, and the integrated rechargeable battery offers up to 20 hours of playing time.
