There aren’t enough superlatives to describe it — the 911 Turbo has gone from the world-beating workman’s sports car to a supercar in its own right. Porsche marks the 911 Turbo’s 50th birthday with the 911 Turbo 50 years, based on the Turbo S. THe package features graphics inspired by the 911 RSR Turbo, with the exclusive Turbonite inlays on the rear deck and Turbonite-colored trim. The interior is trimmed in leather and Porsche’s iconic tartan, with Turbonite trim, brushed aluminum, and perforated Race-Tex materials. A Heritage Design Package is also available in Aventurine Green Metallic with graphics inspired by 911 Turbo models from the ’70s. Orders are open now, with deliveries of the 1,975 models starting in the fall.
