Orient Express ushered in the Golden Age of travel with its legendary passenger trains. !40 years later, they’re taking that same ethos out to sea. The luxury railway has partnered with shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique to introduce the Silenseas, the world’s largest sailing ship. Expected to set sail in 2026, the lavish yacht will revolutionize modern maritime travel with luxury suites and first-class service developed by Accor hospitality group. As for performance, the vessel features three sails with a surface area of 1,500 meters each to harness wind power, which will assist a state-of-the-art engine running on liquefied natural gas. The hybrid system offers a sustainable sailing experience.
