National Geographic Resolution Expedition Ship
In addition to its well-known magazine and TV channel, National Geographic also runs an expedition travel service. Some of these involve cruises, and some of those will take place aboard the new National Geographic Resolution. Built for polar navigation, the Polar Class 5 (PC5) vessel can accommodate up to 126 guests in 69 cabins, each offering large exterior windows or balconies, en suite bathrooms, Wifi, and a command center with tablets and device docks. The vessel has a patented X-bow for a smoother ride and less spray and carries landing craft, kayaks, snowshoes, skis, and undersea equipment. Onboard, guests will find a lounge with a bar, two restaurants, outdoor hot tubs, a yoga studio, and other creature comforts. The Resolution is expected to launch this year.
