Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien GT Supercar

Marc Philipp Gemballa built the Marsien GT to look like a modern take on the Porsche 959, the ultra-rare, all-wheel-drive supercar Porsche built in extremely limited numbers during the 1980s. Starting as a Porsche 992 Turbo S, little of the donor car survives the transformation to Marsien GT: roughly 1,500 newly engineered components go into a fully redesigned carbon fiber body that shaves about 165 pounds off the stock car’s weight. RUF Automobile developed the engine, the same tuner that worked alongside founder Marc Gemballa’s father in the 1980s. The twin-turbo flat-six creates 830 horsepower, generating a claimed 2.4-second run to 60 mph. The suspension adjusts itself in real time, stiffening or softening in 20 milliseconds depending on the road ahead, a response speed borrowed from motorsport rather than street cars. Only 30 will be built, bringing total production across the Marsien program to 70, a number chosen to mark the 70th anniversary of Uwe Gemballa himself.
