Lotus’ track-only version of its sublime Emira sports car is officially here. Lotus revealed the production version of the Emira GT4 with a no-holds-barred track day at the Hethel test track, putting the car through its paces in a performance clinic. Behind the front seats is a Toyota 2GR-FE 3.5-liter supercharged V6 making 400 horsepower and fitted with a dry-sump oil system. An Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission transmits the power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential, with Ohlins TTx and a double-wishbone suspension giving the Emira plenty of what Lotus is famous for — impeccable handling. The Emira GT4 has sold out for 2022, with extra units planned to meet demand for 2023.
