LiDAR to Remain Exclusive to iPhone 13 Pro/Max [Rumor]

LiDAR will remain exclusive to the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models this year, according to leaker @dylandkt.

The leaker tweeted the following prediction earlier today.

LiDAR will only be coming to the pro iPhone models. Earlier this year it seemed Apple wanted to release all iPhone 13/12S models with LiDAR but due to one reason or another, it won’t be happening this year.

Apple introduced LiDAR on the iPhone 12 Pro line. It offers the ability to measure light distance and use pixel depth information of a scene. This delivers faster, more realistic AR experiences, improves autofocus by 6x in low-light scenes, and unlocks Night mode portraits.

@dylandkt has also predicted that Apple’s new M2 processor is on track to release in the first half of 2022, alongside a colorful Macbook Air. Additionally, he says the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will get a 1080p FaceTime camera.
