The most powerful Defender ever from Land Rover is coming with the Defender OCTA. Recently spun off from Land Rover, Defender’s OCTA model will occupy the top of the Defender lineup. Based on the Defender 110, the OCTA will pack a twin-turbo V8 and mild hybrid system. The SUV will ride on Land Rover’s 6D Dynamics air suspension system, already available on the Range Rover Sport SV. The system uses hydraulics to keep the vehicle level during acceleration, cornering, and braking, and increases wheel travel. Defender says the OCTA will also be the most luxurious SUV in its class, taking notes from Range Rover and aiming for luxury SUVs like the G-Class. The Defender OCTA is scheduled to arrive later in 2024.
