Versatile urban transportation continues to be a rare find, but this concept from Indonesia could fit the bill. The Katalis Spacebar is an urban electric scooter created in collaboration with Jakarta-based designer Kamengski. The scooter is powered by a 1200W electric motor located in the rear wheel hub along with a pair of cargo racks for convenient storage. Named for the rectangular-shaped spacebar we all tap so frequently, the scooter is also meant to “create space” and is small, agile, and perfect for zipping through crowded spaces in urban environments. The concept scooter has disc-braked 10-inch wheels and even has foldable handlebars for compact storage when it’s not in use.
