KAMM Porsche 912c Targa Restomod, #KAMM #Porsche #912c #Targa #Restomod

There was a time when the Porsche 911 was the workingman’s sports car. Porsche introduced the 912 in 1965, powered by a slightly detuned flat-four from the 356. Priced at the current-day equivalent of $45,000, the nimble 912 initially outsold the 911, with 32,000 built between 1965 and 1969. The 912 returned with the US-only 912E for one year in 1975, with just over 2,000 made. KAMM has given this 1968 912 Targa a host of upgrades, including carbon fiber bodywork and a new interior. The transmission is a five-speed, close-ratio short-throw unit paired with a ZF limited-slip differential and a Porsche racing clutch. The original 1.6-liter flat-four has been replaced with a 2.0-liter unit making 185 horsepower, over 80 more than stock. Each KAMM 912 is made-to-order, with prices starting at $412,000.
