50 years after the E-Type ended production in 1974, Jaguar is building two convertible continuations of the iconic sports car to mark the golden anniversary. The two E-Type convertibles were commissioned for a client in Southeast Asia. Each car is coated in Signet Green and Opal Black paint, with exact recreations of the Curly Hub-style wheels and a Jaguar hood emblem crafted in mother of pearl and 18kt gold by Deakin & Francis, England’s oldest manufacturing jeweler. Deakin & Francis also make the boot emblem from sterling silver. the interior is covered in leather by Bridge of Weir with hand-woven leather inserts. The steering wheel, shift knob, and dash switches were all crafted by Deakin & Francis and have D&F logos. The period-correct radio unit has Bluetooth, and the windshield is heated. Interested clients can contact Jaguar Classics about having their own continuations built.
