GoPro’s family of Hero action cameras just got a new sibling: The Hero+ LCD.
GoPro announced on Monday the $299 Hero+ LCD, an entry-level action camera with a built-in touchscreen. The Hero+ joins GoPro’s action cameras which start at $130 for the Hero and balloon up to $500 for the Hero4 Black.
Prior to the Hero+ LCD, the only GoPro with a built-in touchscreen was the $400 Hero4 Silver. Users could also buy an LCD TouchPac for $80 or connect their Hero3, Hero3+ or Hero4 to their smartphones via the GoPro app. The Hero+ LCD lowers the barrier for those who want a touchscreen.
