The Garmin Instinct is built for the outdoors, with a 45mm fiber-reinforced polymer case and the features for hikes, trail runs, and open water. The Instinct is built to the US military’s 810 standard for thermal, shock, and water resistance up to 100 meters. A built-in sports app keeps track of heart rate and reps, and GLONASS and Galileo GPS receivers for pinpoint navigation and location accuracy. Several different display modes are available, with a smaller sub-display providing info like the aforementioned heart rate monitor. With GPS on, the Instinct can go 16 hours on a full battery charge.
