Frank Lloyd Wright homes are rare. Rarer still are those built between his Prairie and Usonian periods with cement “textile” blocks. Westhope is among those. Designed for his cousin Richard Lloyd Jones and constructed in 1929, the Tulsa, OK house is one of the storied architect’s largest, measuring just over 10,000 square feet and nestled among the trees on a 1.89-acre lot. 5,200 glass panes run vertically between the concrete, allowing plenty of natural light to enter the distinct private and public spaces, which include five bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a large reception area that flows into the formal dining room. Wright’s signature built-in cabinets, drawers, and matching furniture are found throughout the interior, which is paired with a pool and outdoor living spaces to complete the property.
