Eccentrica Diablo Restomod Coupe | Uncrate, #Eccentrica #Diablo #Restomod #Coupe #Uncrate
The last Diablo rolled off the production line in 2001, 22 years ago. That makes it ripe for the restomod treatment, a job taken up by San Marino-based firm Eccentrica. The exterior modifications are subtle yet extensive — every piece but the windshield is new. The overall shape is immediately recognizable, while simultaneously adding a tautness to the lines that would make Marcello Gandini proud. The front and rear tracks are both wider, with shorter overhangs and improvements to aerodynamics and cooling, with most panels being made of carbon fiber. Taking inspiration from the Diablo GTR, the original popup headlights have been replaced with “pop-down” units that slide down to reveal LED daytime running lights and the headlights themselves. The 5.7-liter V12 has also been rebuilt, not making 550 horsepower. Suspension components have been upgraded along with Brembo monoblock brakes. Inside, the interior sports higher-quality materials with a throwback design that aims to keep the original Diablo’s analog character. The Eccectrica Diablo will be limited to 19 units.
