Casa Tunquen | Uncrate
Nestled in a Chilean forest, the Casa Tunquen is a weekend retreat immersed in nature. The hut’s design is intentionally minimal, similar to a child’s drawing of a house. A facade made from reclaimed oak revetment balances the simplicity of the exterior by adding textural complexity while oversized windows add a layer of dimension. Its two-story interior places bedrooms on the upper level and common space below. The main living area is enclosed on three sides by floor-to-ceiling windows, enveloping the space in forest views. When the weather permits, the glazing opens to create an outdoor space and extending the room to a deck with a jacuzzi.
