Audi is expanding its range of electric vehicles — with two wheels — with the launch of the RA Q e-tron Dakar mountain bike. Audi partnered with Italian firm Fantic to design the Dakar, using a lightweight aluminum frame and front and rear suspension with seven inches of travel. Housed in the frame is a 36-volt Fantic Integra battery pack, powering a motor with 66 lb-ft of torque. Four modes offer varying amounts of pedal assist, from the efficiency of Eco mode to the maximum power of Boost mode. The Dakar comes in three sizes and is available for order now.
