Aspen Meadow House | Uncrate
At the base of the Rocky Mountains outside of Aspen, CCY Architects placed the Meadow House. The timber-clad dwelling was built with the utmost respect to the natural environment, minimizing disruption by tucking the main volume into the sloping terrain and leaving just a motor court and office exposed on the hilltop. A green roof and charred facade further blend the structure into the scenery to reduce visual impact to the pristine setting. Interior spaces continue to connect with the landscape through a natural palette and expansive glazing that frames in the rugged scenery. Seamless transitions flow from the inside to outdoor terraces to take advantage of the soothing sounds from the river below.
