With the end of the F-Type leaving Jaguar with no sports cars in its lineup, enthusiasts will have to turn to the used market to get their fix. Those well-heeled collectors will be interested in this 1993 XJ220, the sole supercar made in the company’s history. Briefly the world’s fastest car, the XJ220 was a joint effort between Jaguar Sport and Tom Walkinshaw Racing, who had built Jaguar’s 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9. 281 examples of the XJ220 were built with the one pictured here, chassis no. 220686, left the factory in Spa Silver over Smoke Grey, the same colorway it wears today. The car was imported into the US and passed through several collections before being sent to Jaguar Heritage in 2016 for $105,000 of work, including an engine rebuild and a respray in its original color. The car currently shows just 4,350 miles and will go to auction at RM Sotheby’s Arizona event this January.
