They’re not the first watches born of the collaboration between Unimatic and Hodinkee, but these new Modello Uno U1S-Carbon GMT and Modello Quattro U4S-Carbon timepieces are Unimatic’s first use of forged carbon. The material is used for the cases to make them lighter and more durable, with titanium inner cases that help boost water resistance to 300m. Powered by a Swiss-made ETA 2893-2 automatic movement, the Modello Uno sports a 41.5mm dark carbon case with a matte black 24-hour bezel, matching dial and TPU strap, and date window at 6 o’clock. The time-only Modello Quattro sports a lighter grey case with a matching dial and TPU strap and is powered by a Swiss Sellita SW200-1b automatic movement. Limited to 250 examples each, both watches also have blocky indices and hands coated with Super-LumiNova and arrive in Unimatic Tough Cases for travel and storage.
