The CT4-V Blackwing is based on the same underlying architecture first seen on the last-generation ATS and ATS-V sports sedans. Known as GM’s Alpha platform, it was designed to drive and feel like the E36-, E46-, and E90-generation BMW 3-series—three of that company’s best. The platform was so capable it was repurposed and used for the current-generation Camaro.
