The 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor sports some familiar styling cues inspired by the high-performance Raptor pickup truck

The Tremor’s vented hood, silver front bumper insert, tow hooks, and powder-coated running boards all are intended to evoke the image of the Raptor.

Other styling cues are more specific to the Tremor line, including the orange detailing and the numerous Tremor logos.

All models come with the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, and a locking rear differential.

A front-axle Torsen limited-slip differential is optional, and the Tremor can also be had with a host of novel trail-driving assistance features.

The Trail Control feature works as a low-speed cruise control, while Trail Turn Assist can be used to lock the inside rear wheel to provide a tighter turning radius when navigating close quarters.

We were less impressed by the Trail One-Pedal Drive feature, which engages the truck’s brakes when the driver lifts off the accelerator. It was difficult to modulate smoothly and caused unwanted skidding when navigating downhill.

The F-150 Tremor is available in base, Mid, and High trim levels, with the top-end model priced at $64,645.

That top price is a mere $1195 away from a base Raptor, but the F-150 Tremor is more practical and requires fewer compromises than the high-performance Raptor.
