UK-based Veloqx racing team had massive success in the early ’00s, including first at the 12 Hours of Sebring and second overall in the 24 HOurs of Le Mans in 2004. After nearly 20 years off, Veloqx founder Sam Li is returning the team to the track, with the Veloqx Fangio as a prototype and low-volume road car. In its current iteration, the Fangio is based on a Ferrari front-engine V12 with custom coachwork. The exact Ferrari model is unclear, but the recent F12 made 730 horsepower in standard trim. The new body is all carbon fiber, and will presumably serve as a testbed for Veloqx’s upcoming race cars.
