Tuthill GT One Sports Car

In 1993, the FIA revamped the ruleset for the top level of endurance motorsport, leading to one of Le Mans best eras — of some of its best race cars. The McLaren F1 GTR, CLK GTR, and Porsche 911 GT1 spawned rules-required homologation street cars — and Gran Tourismo appearances — that made them instant legends. Boutique Porsche specialist Tuthill is bringing the 911 GT1 back, this time designed for the street first. The Tuthill GT One can be specified with a naturally aspirated or forced-induction 4.0-liter flat-six, making over 500 and 600 horsepower each. Both engines feature Inconel exhaust systems with either a seven-speed dual-clutch or manual transmission. Carbon fiber bodywork hides a double wishbone suspension front and rear, with carbon ceramic brakes helping slow the 2,700-pound machine. Tuthill has slated 22 units of the GT One for production.
