Timex Waterbury Ocean Plastic Watch, #Timex #Waterbury #Ocean #Plastic #Watch
There are anywhere from 15 to 51 trillion pieces of plastic in the world’s oceans, attributing to the deaths of sea birds and marine animals. To reduce this waste, Timex created the Waterbury Ocean Plastic Watch. The 42mm case, dial, and brace are made from a lightweight resin crafted using 100% ocean-bound plastic. The waste is collected by fishermen on the coast, then shredded and shipped to Switzerland via carbon-neutral transportation, where it’s produced using solar energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuels along with marine pollution. It’s finished with luminant hand markers and a quartz movement with 30 meters of water resistance.
