Apple and Comcast Reach Deal to Bring Apple TV App to Xfinity, Flex, More

Apple and Comcast have reached a deal to bring the Apple TV app to Xfinity X1, Flex, XClass TV and Sky Glass platforms, reports Variety. The deal was announced by CEO Brian Roberts on Comcast’s Q3 earnings call.

Likewise, Comcast’s Xfinity Stream app and Sky Go app in the U.K and Europe will be launched on Apple TV devices.

“Our importance to the streaming universe will continue to grow,” Roberts said on the call. “Certainly the Apple announcement today is another iteration of that.”

A Comcast rep wouldn’t provide specific dates but said that the Apple TV app will launch in “the coming months”.
