RUF rose to fame in the late ’80s with the CTR “Yellowbird”, a hyper-tuned Porsche 911 that defeated all comers in a Road & Track test of supercars. Four RUF sports cars that span RUF’s offerings from 1998 through 2007 are coming to Gooding & Co.’s 2023 Amelia Island event. The first is a matching set of 993-generation RUF Turbo Rs from 1998, one a coupe and the other an ultra-rare cabriolet — one of 15 made. A 414-horsepower 1997 BTR2 in yellow and a 2007 Cayman-based RK coupe round out the collection. Bidding on the four cars starts March 3, 2023.
