Safari all the cars. From classic and factory-built Porsche 911s to this quite serious first-gen Dodge Viper, repurposing sports cars for off-road work has become a fad, regardless of functionality or how much they actually see unpaved surfaces. One critically overlooked category is the electric car — owing to availability and having a battery that needs to be protected from being smashed into rocks and the myriad of other things that regularly destroy off-road vehicles. That has changed, however, and Pu-Labo has introduced the Model Traveler — a kit for the Tesla Model 3 and Y that adds between 2.5 and 5 inches of lift and 8 inches of suspension travel. The kit starts with front and rear subframes made of 4130 chromoly steel, aluminum billet upper control arms, and laser-cut lower control arms. Adjustable dampers, fender flares, a steel front bumper, and beadlock wheels round out the package. The kit is available for order now.
