Lilium Jet
Its official rollout isn’t until January of 2018, but if the final version of the Lilium Jet is anything like the previews, it’s going to find a place in a lot of hangars/garages. Powered by a series of electric turbines producing 435hp, it takes off and lands vertically, making it possible to fly directly from a home with a generous yard to a downtown helipad. Once in the air, it’s easy to fly thanks to computer-assisted controls, requires only a sport pilot license to fly, and can carry two passengers and up to 440 lbs of gear up to 300 miles away at speeds up to 250 mph.
