2023 marks Suntory’s 100th anniversary. As part of the celebration, Legent — a collaboration between Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe and Suntory Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo — is releasing a limited-edition whiskey. Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Blend began as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon crafted from American grain and aged eight years in the Bluegrass state. It was then shipped to Japan, where some of it was finished in French oak wine casks, Spanish oak sherry barrels, and former Yamazaki Spanish Oak Casks. Fukuyo then blended the three whiskeys together, along with some of the untouched eight-year bourbon, to create this smooth-drinking yet complex spirit. Bottled at 57% ABV, it will be available for a limited time only in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and Global Travel Retail.
