After a two year wait, the FAA announced that Houston was been approved as the next United States commercial spaceport. Houston Spaceport will be located at Ellington Airport, and includes approval for horizontally-launched space vehicles as well as space vehicle assembly. It’s gonna take some time to build it all out, but once it’s done, we could see space tourism industries developing in Houston as well, which would be a boon for the economy and would rise to the top of everyone’s destination list immediately.
