When the Corniche launched, the factory described the output as simply “adequate.” Surrey-based atelier Halcyon has built its Great Eight Series around improving on that characteristically British understatement. Each of the 60 one-of-one commissions begins as a bare-metal restoration and takes 5,000 hours and 12 months to complete. The remastered V8 gains increased torque and improved throttle response without sacrificing its effortless composure, paired with adaptive suspension, electronically controlled dampers, three drive modes, and an upgraded braking system. The debut Rose and Scroll design study arrives in Arboretum Green over tan leather with open-pore wood and a 4.6-foot hand-engraved fascia, its rose and scroll motifs drawn from fine English craft traditions, with damascene kingfisher inlays running through the center. Modern tech is integrated with restraint: a concealed infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay, climate control, a reversing camera, and electrically adjustable heated seats. Of the 60 builds, 30 are Drop Head Coupes, 20 Fixed Head Coupes, and 10 Silver Shadow or Bentley T-Series. Commissions are open now, donor vehicle not included.
