DeLorean is looking forward — far forward — with the Omega concept, a baja-inspired vehicle that imagines what 2040 might look like for the company. The Omega leverages the design freedom of electric powertrains for high-riding design with opaque doors and chunky combination wheel-tires. The overall effect is something more akin to a moon rover than earth-bound transportation. Viewed from above, the Omega presents a slippery, aerodynamic hourglass shape with a windshield that looks to run the length of the body. DeLorean showed off two other prototypes at the 2022 Monterey Car Week, the 2+2 Alpha5 and the Plasmatail shooting brake.
