Da Licenca Hotel | Uncrate, #Licenca #Hotel #Uncrate
Established in the 1830s, this 300-acre olive grove in Portugal is now the home of Da Licenca. The remote boutique hotel is situated among some 13,000 olive trees in the Alentejo region, with views of the Serra d’Ossa forest and the castles of Evoramonte and Estremoz. Its housed in the property’s former farm buildings, transforming the ruins into a minimalist retreat with lime-washed walls and granite floors. The property hosts just nine guest rooms, including four suites with hand-carved marble basins and large outdoor terraces. Some rooms have access to private pools, while all visitors can use the infinity pool. In the former olive mill, there’s a private art gallery that displays the owner’s collection of Jugendstil and Anthroposophical pieces and also doubles as a private dining room.
