Canon PowerShot Pick Camera | Uncrate
Artificial intelligence already makes a large contribution to smartphone photography. With the PowerShot Pick, Canon is betting on it making a contribution to photography, period. It uses AI to identify scenes, detect people, track faces, and decide on the best moments to capture photos. To do so it uses a 1/2.3″, 12-megapixel sensor paired with a 19-57mm equivalent, f/2.8 zoom lens that can pan 170º in either direction and tilt up to 110º. Designed to travel with you, it’s quite compact, with webcam-like looks, a MicroSD slot for storage, and the ability to respond to voice commands in addition to its autonomous photography mode. Currently available for pre-order on the Japanese crowdfunding site Makuake.
