The latest in BMW’s line of art cars is in collaboration with one of the most loved — and hated — modern artists: Jeff Koons. Eight 8 Series Gran Coupes have been painstakingly hand-painted in a custom livery designed by Koons in his trademark pop-art style. Over 200 hours of work by BMW’s master painters went into each car, while the interior is covered in bright red and blue continuing the superhero theme. All eight cars will be on display in Rockefeller Plaza before one, signed by the artist, goes to auction via Christie’s in New York April 4, 2022.
