Apple to Announce Big Updates to Safari, Health, Maps, iMessage at WWDC [Report]

Apple will be announcing big updates to Safari, Health, Maps, and iMessage at WWDC 2021, according to Joanna Stern, a reporter for the WSJ.

Stern says the updates will help Apple build up its walled garden and keep customer locked in its ecosystem.

You keep buying and using Apple products. That’s because Apple’s walled garden is its best designed product ever. My column on why life in the garden is so damn good and… not so good.

Of course, next week at WWDC the walls will get even higher. I hear there are big updates coming to Safari, Health, Maps and iMessage at WWDC next week.

Apple’s WWDC 2021 keynote will be held at 10:00am PDT on July 7th. The company is widely expected to unveil updates to iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS, macOS, and perhaps introduce homeOS. It’s also rumored to have new mini-LED MacBook Pros that could be unveiled at the event.
