Apple Talks M1 iPad Pro [Video]

In a recent interview with Brian Tong, Apple discusses its new M1 iPad Pro and the mini-LED display on the 12.9-inch model.

I talk with Scott Broderick from Worldwide iPad Product Marketing, and Vincent Gu from Apple’s display engineering team about the M1 iPad Pro with Liquid Retina XDR Display,. I also asked the questions you wanted me, to ask Apple directly.

When asked why the 11-inch iPad Pro doesn’t have a mini-LED display, Broderick suggests one reason is that it would have added bulk. “What we know about the 11-inch user is that they just love bringing a super-powerful iPad with them in a portable 1-pound design.”

The 11-inch M1 iPad Pro is available starting at $799 and the 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro starts at $1099.
