As a Formula One driver, Fernando Alonso has different expectations for his cars than most. Working with Aston Martin’s bespoke Q service, he helped create the road-legal, track-focused Valiant. Inspired by the Muncher Le Mans racer, it’s powered by a 735hp 5.2L Twin-Turbo V12 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, with a custom chassis sporting Multimatic ASV dampers and track-focused electronic tweaks. To save weight, the interior was pared back and the bodywork was made entirely from carbon fiber; magnesium, titanium, and 3D printing were used to create other key components. The Valiant will make its public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed and will be limited to 38 examples globally with shipments beginning in Q4 of 2024.
